Bernie’s practice has been concentrated in commodity futures, securities, managed funds, and commercial real estate for over 35 years.

Bernie represents futures commission merchants, introducing brokers, commodity trading advisors, commodity pool operators, broker dealers, and individual registrants.  He advises clients on Commodity Futures Trading Commission registration and regulatory matters, National Futures Association registration and regulatory matters, and CME registration and regulatory matters.  Bernie has defended clients in enforcement actions with the CFTC, NFA, SEC, FINRA, Chicago Board of Trade, and CME.

From 1976 through 1979, Bernie was Assistant Counsel and then Chief Counsel of the Chicago Board of Trade.

Bernie has a particular interest in history and Biblical archeology.
